You should note that once fabrics are cut we cannot accept returns unless the goods are faulty. We would therefore urge you to obtain samples, to check colour ways and consult our knowledgeable and helpful staff prior to making a purchase if you are in any doubt as to the amounts required, suitability of your chosen fabric or treatment, pattern repeat or any other variable.


Due to a high turnover of our stock, we cannot guarantee availability of our clearance designer fabrics. However you will receive an e-mail confirming you have placed an order and then a further e-mail informing you of any items out of stock and the dispatch.

Fabric Specific

Although with both printed and woven fabrics every effort is made to avoid irregularities, occasionally they may occur. Fabric, unlike paper, is not completely stable and it cannot be taken for granted that, whether printed or woven, the pattern will invariably be completely "square" upon the cloth. When planning multiple width curtains, please make certain before cutting, that pattern alignment is adequate to produce a satisfactory end result. This also applies to woven fabric. We cannot allow claims after goods are cut. Repeat lengths may vary from roll to roll and we would advise you to be generous in your estimates. If in any doubt please contact the Enquiry Line.

Fabrics are not guaranteed against colour fading.

Curtain Makeup

The Curtain Factory Outlet cannot guarantee that there will not be shrinkage in the fabric subsequent to purchase and makeup. Always make allowances for possible shrinkage when making curtains and loose covers. Most fabrics tend to shrink when laundered, cleaned, or to a lesser extent whilst in use, in certain atmospheric conditions. Atmospheric conditions may vary between our make up workroom and your house, and in different weather and seasons. We cannot control these conditions and therefore cannot accept responsibility for movement in curtains when hung. Heavier fabrics may react to changing humidity; and the control of humidity in a room remains the customer's responsibility. 5-6% shrinkage is considered normal for fabrics not claimed to be shrink resistant. We recommend generous hems loosely stitched in case lengthening becomes necessary due to any of the above-mentioned points. The cost of making such alterations remains the responsibility of the customer.

Please ensure that you have ordered sufficient material to complete the work, as it may not be possible to obtain exactly the same shade at a later date due to minor dye batch variations.


If an error is discovered in the price of the goods that you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible. In the event that you order an item and the price published on this website is incorrect for any reason, we will contact you to let you know the correct price and ask you whether you still wish us to fulfil your order at this price. We shall be under no obligation to fulfil an order for a product which was advertised at an incorrect price.

We shall give you the option of confirming the order at the correct price or if you so choose, to cancel the order altogether. If you cancel and have already paid for the goods in the circumstances described in this clause, we shall refund the full amount in accordance with these Terms. The Curtain Factory Outlet will do its best to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after being notified of them.

We cannot guarantee pattern or shade matching from item to item on any ready made product.

E-commerce Orders Delivery

All orders are processed during normal hours of trade (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) and will be despatched in order to arrive no later than 10 working days for Readymade curtains, blinds and poles. All goods carry a standard 12 month guarantee against faulty workmanship.

Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations

Under the terms of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (SI 2000 NO. 2334) implement directive 97/7/EC of 20 May 1997 on the protection of consumers in respect of distance contracts (known as the distance selling directive), customers are allowed a 7 (seven) day cooling off period on all online purchases after the transaction has been made.

Due to the intimate nature of Beds, Mattresses, Furniture, Curtains & Bedding these are exempt from the statutory 7 day cooling off period under the Distance Selling Regulations when they have been unsealed. Therefore, for reasons of health and hygiene any beds, mattresses, furniture or bedding that have been unsealed will be deemed to be used and cannot be returned for any reason other than a manufacturing fault.

The Buyer must retain the Goods and take good care of them until they are returned. The Goods must be unused, made available for collection and be in the original packaging and in the original condition.

Refunds Policy

We do not accept refunds/ exchanges on any fabrics that are under 15 metres. We offer the option of ordering samples so you can see the fabric before you place an order. Any other refunds not covered by the above will be given solely at the discretion of the Company Management. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure that goods are returned adequately packed. The customer will be liable for all return costs unless the goods are faulty. No returns will be accepted if goods have had headings pulled or adjusted in any way.
